Keep Your Eyes Open!!
A selection of limited edition ceramic pieces were issued in 1996 as Part of the 'Down Strawberry Lane' collection.
- They include the hard to find, seldom seen Bud Vase: #161349. This glossy glaze finished piece is 5 3/4 inches tall. The front is Ella witn a green trimmed bonnet and her watering can, while the vase itself is the picket fence with strawberries.
- Ella also appears on the Flower Pot: #161330, a 5 inches high similarly glazed piece.
- The 10 3/4 inch Cookie Jar: # 161306 is a indivualized version of Tara with green trim and a wicker basket of strawberries.
- The next item is a 7 3/4 inch Water Pitcher: #161292 with Thelma reproduced in front of a white picket fence as its design.
- A 17 ounce Mug: 901156 is the bonnet and face of one of the girls. (It's unclear which, as the bonnet doesn't match any of the figurines.)
- Ella appears with her green trim on the 10 inch diameter Plate: #901164 and matching Cup and Saucer: #161357.
- This version of Ella is also featured on the 7 1/2 inch high Tea Pot: #161314 which is in the form of her ever-present watering can. The matching Creamer and Sugar Bowl: #161322 are approximatly 4 inches high with the creamer a smaller version of the watering can/tea pot and the sugar bowl a container full of strawberries (that's the lid).
In 2001 a Syndicated Catalog Exclusive, Special Issue Limited Edition of 5000 Pieces, was released in the USA that goes with this set. It's a perfect fit. (She was also issued as an International Limited Edition version.) Rebecca: #7390301 is decked out in a Strawberry hat and dress, pulling a wagon with a tiny Teddie (also wearing a strawberry hat). What are her words of wisdom? 'Come With Me To The Strawberry Patch'. We've never had the pleasure of offering this unique Rebecca. (The other Rebecca is a Christmas Teddie issued only in 1999.)
One of the 2009 Membearship Only figurines is Bill and Linda: CT0093. Miss Linda is decked out in a Strawberry outfit that would be super with this early set. She's adorned with a Strawberry hat and carrying a strawberry purse, while her cape is strawberry with strawberries on the end of its ties. Sorry to say, Mr. Bill doesn't fit at all except as her escourt.
